The open part, when the hut is not guarded, is 10 minutes away from the hut. It is a building known as "La Centraleta", located at the confluence of the river Contraix and the river Sant Nicolau. It has 10 places available and is equipped with blankets, mattresses, emergency radio, fireplace and firewood.
